This position is responsible for moving, loading, billing and unloading of rail cars.

 

Core Functions:

Expectations of the Oil Loader:

  • Full knowledge of and compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Full knowledge of and compliance with related Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Full knowledge of and compliance with the EOF Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Inspect, load, weigh, sample, seal, bill oil and distillate cars as assigned.
  • Unload and transfer clay, filter aid, and silica.
  • Moving and sorting cars by means of rail moving equipment.
  • Ensure that loading/unloading equipment is kept clean and in good working order to achieve highest efficiency as assigned.
  • Clean up according to assigned clean up duties.
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment as assigned.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.
  • Report any non-compliance to supervision immediately.

 

Team Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with operations supervisor, operators, logistics, laboratory and maintenance personnel.
  • Display positive image and maintain customer focus when dealing with outside groups such as carriers, suppliers, etc.

Skill/Experience Requirements:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Good computer/ keyboard skills.
  • A valid class 5 Manitoba driver’s license. 
  • Must be able to work from heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written.
