Are you an experienced Project Engineer with a passion for optimizing operations in our large-scale multi-seed crush plant?
At Bunge, we are a leading player in the oilseed processing industry, committed to delivering high-quality products and innovative solutions. Our multi-seed crush plant in Amsterdam, which primarily focuses on soy but also processes other oilseeds, includes both crushing and refining operations. As one of the largest facilities of its kind in Europe, with a rich history, we are looking for a experienced Capex Project Engineer to join our dynamic team and drive key projects to success, ensuring our plant remains at the forefront of practices and cutting-edge technology.
Main responsibilities of the Project Engineer are:
- Manage all phases of capex projects from inception to completion.
- Develop project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
- Ensure projects meet technical specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives with business goals.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee contractor selection, negotiation, and management.
- Construction supervision, monitor project progress and make sure Bunge standards are applied.
- provide regular updates to management.
- Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts promptly.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination among stakeholders.
Who are you?
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing capital expenditure projects at our multi-seed crush and refinery plant. You will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects, ensuring they align with our business goals and technical requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in managing budgets, timelines and resources to achieve optimal results.
- MBO 4 or Bachelor degree in engineering, Project Management or other related field;
- 3-5+ years working experience in manufacturing production or engineering department.
- Fluent in English;
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven track record of managing <1M$ capex projects, preferably in the food processing or chemical industry.
