What will you do as a QFS (Quality & Food Safety) Value Chain Manager?
As a QFS Value Chain Manager, you'll be a key player in our supply chain support team, driving improvements in our Quality & Food/Feed Safety Management Systems. You will work independently, evaluating and enhancing our internal processes related to seed, meal, and oil trading, from contract specifications to quality control. This will also involve collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders, including trade, SC (Supply Chain), legal specialists, production plants, and regulatory bodies, as well as if needed travel for on-site audits and visits in Hungary and also other countries.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Quality approval of seed and meal warehouses, including warehouse audits and incident management
- Export license and ministry registration protocol if needed
- Coordination of the GMP+B3 certified system: internal audit, traceability test on soymeal trading , review of GMP+ changes, SOP and risk assessment update, preparation to the certification renewal audit
- Support Trade Offices in Austria, Germany, Hungary, Poland and Romania
- Cooperation with the Legal Department in reviewing purchasing contracts or in other QFS related questions
- Management of questions from the Logistics department concerning bulk oils, oilseeds, and meals
- Monitoring changes in food/feed legislation, preparation of reports, data collection
- Preparing monthly QFS (Quality Food Safety) performance report
- Assess risks for new origin, crops by the help of relevant origin QFS, origination teams to update risk assessment
- Conduct/update annually commodity risk assessment table for oilseeds, meals and crude oils
- Review customer specifications if different than Bunge standard specification, input contract, meet customer requests such as filling their questionnaires before 1st execution
- Handle customer complaints regarding trading for commodities managed out of Bunge plants
As our future colleague, you should have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Food Technology/Engineering, Food Chemistry/Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, or a related field
- Alternatively, a completed vocational training in international trade or a related field with a focus on agricultural products ( GAFTA/ FOSFA training preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in the food, feed industry, agri-business and thorough knowledge of applicable quality and safety standards
- Knowledgeable about EU and local regulations for respective countries
- Experience with minimum one of the GMP+ and EFISC-GTP, GFSI benchmark Food Safety certifications, including their implementation and maintenance
- Knowledge of contaminant analysis, relevant laboratory methods and details
- Fluent business English
- Local language is preferred based on location
