A Day in the Life:

The storeroom clerk is responsible for the inventory supply and organization of the spare parts warehouse to ensure that adequate spare parts are onsite and available for maintenance and operations activities.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for ongoing organizing and maintaining the parts warehouse to allow for accurate tracking of parts used, access to parts and control of parts inventory.
  • Coordinate warehouse inventory requirements between the maintenance and production departments.
  • Create Purchase Requisitions in SAP.
  • Request material numbers for stock parts in SAP.
  • Ensure that changes to storeroom materials is updated in SAP as directed.
  • Assist employees with locating items in the storeroom using SAP system.
  • Receive deliveries of parts and unload delivery trucks with forklift.
  • Process outbound shipments.
  • Resolve discrepancies between orders and receipt of goods.
  • Accurately perform data entry to include, but not limited to, goods issue, goods receipt, and inventory adjustments.
  • Ensure procurement and maintenance reliability standards are followed.
  • Collaborate with purchasing agent and ARROP to ensure that preferred supplier’s data is aligned with SAP parts identification data.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 1+ years’ experience purchasing and/or inventory control experience within an industrial/maintenance setting is required.
  • Prior experience industrial maintenance and repair, materials handling, inventory control.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems, SAP preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively within conflicting demands and time constraints.
  • Must possess basic math skills.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills.
  • Should be familiar with procurement, accounting, and maintenance terminology.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word & SAP preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
